Form Planning

WebWorkstation

ZynoForms uses form definitions that control pages, fields, labels, required fields, translations, themes, and submit behavior. In the current ZynoSuite workspace, authenticated users review submissions; form authoring controls are not exposed as a general ZynoForms screen.

The current ZynoForms screen does not include New Form, Edit Form, or public-link management controls. Treat new forms and structural form changes as administrator or support-managed work.

Permission Required

Ask your administrator or Zyno support contact who manages form definitions for your organization.

What To Decide Before Requesting A Form

  • The form name and purpose.
  • Who should complete it.
  • Whether it will be public, displayed on a kiosk, or used for an internal workflow.
  • Required contact fields.
  • Any required signatures or acknowledgements.
  • Whether the form needs multiple pages.
  • Whether any sections should repeat.
  • Success message after submission.
  • Whether translations or custom branding are needed.

Test A Form Before Publishing

  1. Open the form link or display device using the test version provided.
  2. Complete the form as a contact would.
  3. Confirm required fields block incomplete submissions.
  4. Submit the form.
  5. Open ZynoForms in ZynoSuite.
  6. Confirm the submission appears and renders correctly.

Updating A Form

When a form changes, keep a test record of what changed and submit a new test response. Existing submissions remain historical records of what was submitted at the time.
