Push Notifications
Push notifications are alerts delivered by the browser or mobile operating system. They are useful when ZynoSuite needs to get your attention outside the current screen, such as a ZynoTalk message or incoming-call event.
Push notifications are different from in-app notifications. In-app notifications appear only while you are signed in and using ZynoSuite.
Notification Types

Browser Push Requirements
Browser push notifications require:
- A supported browser.
- Service workers enabled in the browser.
- Notifications allowed for the ZynoSuite site.
- A signed-in ZynoSuite session for registration.
- Feature-level notification settings enabled, such as ZynoTalk number notifications.
If browser permission is blocked, ZynoSuite cannot deliver browser push notifications until the site permission is changed back to Allow.
When ZynoTalk browser notifications are enabled for one of your numbers or extensions, the sidebar can show a Notifications row. Select it to enable browser permission when the row says Click to enable. If it says Blocked by browser, use your browser's site settings to allow notifications for ZynoSuite.
Mobile Push Requirements
Mobile push notifications require:
- The relevant mobile app installed.
- Notifications allowed in iOS or Android settings.
- The user signed in to the correct organization.
- Feature-level notification settings enabled where the app provides them.
For business calling, use ZynoTalk Mobile. ZynoSuite Mobile does not provide the ZynoTalk softphone.
Click And Tap Behavior
When possible, selecting a notification opens the related area:

If no suitable ZynoSuite tab is available, the browser can open a new window. If a tab has a modal open, ZynoSuite tries to avoid taking over that tab.
Acknowledgment
ZynoSuite tracks delivered notifications so it can mark them acknowledged after user activity. This helps avoid repeatedly surfacing the same browser notification after you return to the app.
Troubleshooting

| No mobile notifications | Check iOS/Android notification settings, Focus/Do Not Disturb, and the app's notification preferences. |
| Notifications arrive for the wrong number | Review ZynoTalk number notification preferences. |
| Notification opens a new tab | This can happen when no existing tab matches the organization or all matching tabs are busy. |
| Notifications stop after browser cleanup | Sign in again and re-enable the feature notification preference so the browser can register again. |
