Making & Receiving Calls
ZynoTalk MobileUse ZynoTalk Mobile when you need business calling from a phone instead of the ZynoSuite Web or Workstation softphone.
Permission Required
You need ZynoTalk access and a SIP extension that is allowed to use mobile calling.
Place A Call
- Open ZynoTalk Mobile.
- Open the dialer.
- Enter the phone number or choose a contact.
- If more than one caller ID or extension is available, choose the one you want to use.
- Start the call.
Calls use your data connection. Use a stable Wi-Fi or cellular connection when possible.
Receive A Call
Incoming calls can appear through your phone's native incoming-call interface. Answer or decline the call from the phone screen. If another device answers first or the caller hangs up, the incoming call alert may disappear.
The calls that ring mobile depend on the Mobile Calls setting for your extension:
- All Calls includes direct calls, transfers, and ring group calls.
- Direct Calls includes calls and transfers directly to your extension.
- No Calls prevents that extension from ringing ZynoTalk Mobile.
During A Call
ZynoTalk Mobile supports standard call controls such as mute, hold, speaker or audio routing, keypad tones, and transfer when available for the call. Transfer sends the call to the selected extension; an attended-transfer step is only available if the app shows that option.
Emergency calls such as 911 and the 933 emergency test number are handed to your phone's native dialer instead of being placed over VoIP.
Review Activity
ZynoTalk Mobile can show ZynoTalk activity such as recents, SMS, voicemail, and fax viewing. For the full web workspace with fax sending, recording review, AI summaries, and reporting, use ZynoSuite Web or Workstation.
Common Issues
| Problem | What To Check |
|---|---|
| Incoming calls do not ring | Confirm ZynoTalk is signed in, notifications are allowed, and mobile call routing is enabled. |
| Ring group calls do not ring | Set Mobile Calls to All Calls for the extension. |
| Audio uses the wrong device | Check the phone's speaker, Bluetooth, and headset routing during the call. |
| Android blocks placing or answering calls | Allow ZynoTalk's phone permission in Android settings. |
| Calls fail on cellular data | Try Wi-Fi or check whether your mobile network blocks or degrades VoIP traffic. |
