Label Printers

Workstation

Label printers let staff print inventory item labels from ZynoWorkstation. Labels can include item details such as the item name, price, and barcode value, depending on your organization's label template.

Admin Setup Required

You need access to Admin > General > Workstations to assign the label printer for a workstation.

Before You Begin

  • Install and register ZynoWorkstation.
  • Install the label printer driver and any required vendor software.
  • Load the correct label roll or media.
  • Confirm the inventory item has the right name, UPC, SKU, and price fields before printing.

Supported label printer behavior depends on your organization's hardware and templates. Brother label printers require the Brother driver/software stack to be installed on the workstation.

Check Detection

  1. Open Admin > General > Workstations.
  2. Select the workstation.
  3. Open the hardware tab.
  4. Look for Label Printer.

If the printer appears only as a standard printer, Workstation may not have the driver or vendor software needed to identify it as a label printer.

Assign The Label Printer

  1. Open Admin > General > Workstations.
  2. Select the workstation row.
  3. On the preferences tab, find Label Printer.
  4. Choose the label printer.
  5. Select Save.
  1. Open ZynoInventory in Workstation.
  2. Find the item.
  3. Open the row action menu.
  4. Select Print Label or Print Multiple Labels.
  5. If prompted, enter the quantity.
  6. Select Print.

Print a small test quantity when setting up a new printer, new label roll, or new template.
