Set Up ZynoDisplay on Android TV & Google TV

ZynoDisplay runs on Android TV and Google TV devices and TVs. Install the player from Google Play, register the screen, then turn off the screen saver and energy‑saving features so your content stays on around the clock.

Before You Begin

• The device is set up, signed in to a Google account, and connected to your network.
• The screen has reliable power and internet.
• You have the Register Device permission in ZynoSuite. See Permissions & Troubleshooting.

1. Install the App

1. Open the Google Play Store on the device.
2. Search for ZynoDisplay.
3. Select Install.
4. Open ZynoDisplay once it installs.

2. Register the Screen

On first launch the app shows a 9‑digit registration code. Enter it in ZynoSuite to claim the screen — see Registering a Device. Once registered, the screen pulls down whatever content you assign it.

3. Change These Settings (Keep It Always-On)

Turn off the screen saver

1. Open Settings. On Android TV go to Device Preferences → Screen saver; on Google TV go to System → Screen saver.
2. Set When to start to Off (or the longest delay).
3. Set Put device to sleep to Never.

Turn off the energy saver

Many of these devices turn the display off after a period of inactivity to save power.

1. Open Settings, then Device Preferences → Energy saver (or System → Energy saver).
2. Set Turn off display after to Never.

TIP

Android TV and Google TV organize these menus differently, and TV makers rename them, so the exact path may differ from the steps above. Look for Screen saver and Energy saver under the device or system settings.

Remote Controls

Android TV and Google TV do not support ZynoDisplay's remote device controls. You still get full content control — assigning content, scheduling, and live overrides — from ZynoSuite. See Remote Control & Management.

Common Issues

Problem	What To Check
A screen saver or ambient screen appears	Set the screen saver When to start to Off and Put device to sleep to Never.
The display turns off after a while	Set the energy saver Turn off display after to Never.
Can't find ZynoDisplay in the store	Search Google Play for ZynoDisplay.
The registration code is rejected	Re‑check all 9 digits against the code on the screen. See Registering a Device.
