Set Up ZynoDisplay on Android Phone & Tablet

ZynoDisplay runs on Android phones and tablets — a good fit for a small countertop screen. Install the player from Google Play, register the screen, then keep the device awake and optionally pin it to the app.

Before You Begin

• The phone or tablet is set up and connected to your network.
• The device can stay on a charger — a 24/7 screen should not run on battery.
• You have the Register Device permission in ZynoSuite. See Permissions & Troubleshooting.

1. Install the App

1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Search for ZynoDisplay (this is the player app, separate from the ZynoSuite app).
3. Tap Install.
4. Open ZynoDisplay once it installs.

2. Register the Screen

On first launch the app shows a 9‑digit registration code. Enter it in ZynoSuite to claim the screen — see Registering a Device. Once registered, the screen pulls down whatever content you assign it.

3. Change These Settings (Keep It Always-On)

Keep the screen awake

1. Open Settings → Display → Screen timeout and set it to the longest available time.
2. To keep it on indefinitely, enable Developer options: open Settings → About phone and tap Build number seven times.
3. In Settings → System → Developer options, turn on Stay awake (keeps the screen on while charging).

Keep the device on a charger.

Pin it to the app (optional, recommended)

App pinning keeps the screen on ZynoDisplay and stops anyone leaving it.

1. Open Settings → Security (or Security & privacy) and turn on App pinning / Screen pinning.
2. Open ZynoDisplay, then pin it from the recent‑apps view.

TIP

Android menus vary by manufacturer (for example Samsung One UI versus stock Android), so the exact wording and path may differ from the steps above.

Remote Controls

Android phones and tablets do not support ZynoDisplay's remote device controls. You still get full content control — assigning content, scheduling, and live overrides — from ZynoSuite. See Remote Control & Management.

Common Issues

Problem	What To Check
The screen turns off	Increase Screen timeout and turn on Stay awake in Developer options.
The device powers off	Keep it on a charger; don't run a 24/7 screen on battery.
Someone navigated away from the app	Turn on App pinning and pin ZynoDisplay.
Can't find ZynoDisplay in the store	Search Google Play for ZynoDisplay.
