Financial Accounts
WebWorkstationFinancial Accounts are admin-defined account categories for ZynoSales configuration and reporting workflows. They can be organized into a parent-child structure so your team can group revenue, liabilities, deposits, or other accounting categories in a way that matches your business.
Open this page from Admin > ZynoSales > Financial Accounts.
Account List
The page shows financial accounts as an indented list. Top-level accounts appear first, and child accounts appear under their parent account.
Select an account name to edit it. The parent picker shows account paths so you can distinguish accounts with the same name under different parents.
Add a Financial Account
- Select Add Financial Account.
- Choose a Parent, or leave it as (none) for a top-level account.
- Enter the account Name.
- Select Create.
Use parent accounts to create broad groupings, then child accounts for more specific categories.
Example structure:
| Parent | Child Examples |
|---|---|
| Sales Revenue | Retail Sales, Service Sales, Online Sales |
| Liabilities | Gift Cards, Store Credit, Deposits |
| Fees | Processing Fees, Shipping Fees |
Edit an Account
- Select the account name in the list.
- Change the Parent or Name.
- Select Save.
Changing the parent moves the account in the hierarchy. Renaming an account changes how it appears going forward, but it should not be treated as a replacement for accounting review.
Delete an Account
- Select the account.
- Select the delete icon.
- Confirm the deletion.
Before deleting an account, check whether it is still used by products, discounts, integrations, reporting, closeout workflows, or accounting exports.
Good Practices
- Keep account names short and recognizable.
- Match names to the language your accounting team already uses.
- Avoid creating duplicate accounts with slightly different spelling.
- Review the hierarchy before enabling or revising accounting integrations.
