Predefined Discounts

Predefined Discounts are reusable discounts that staff can apply from Salespoint. They help keep discounts consistent and can limit which users may apply sensitive discounts.

Open this page from Admin > ZynoSales > Predefined Discounts.

The Predefined Discounts page keeps reusable Salespoint discounts organized by name, amount, restriction, and product scope.

Discount List

The page shows each discount with:

Column	Meaning
Name	Staff-facing discount name
Amount	Percentage, flat amount, price override, or unspecified
Restricted	Whether the discount requires broader discount permission
Products	Whether the discount applies to any product or only selected products

Select a row to edit a discount.

Add a Discount

1. Select Add Predefined Discount.
2. Enter the discount Name.
3. Choose a Type.
4. Enter the Amount, if a type is selected.
5. Decide whether the discount is Restricted.
6. Decide whether it is Product Specific.
7. Select Create.

Discount Types

Type	Effect
Unspecified	Creates a named discount without a fixed amount
Percentage	Discounts by a percentage, such as 10%
Flat Amount	Discounts by a fixed dollar amount
Price Override	Changes the item price to the entered amount

If you choose a type, you must also enter an amount. If you leave the type unspecified, leave the amount blank.

Restricted Discounts

Select Restricted when only users with stronger discount permission should be able to use the discount.

Users whose ZynoSales discount permission is set to Unrestricted Pre-defined Discounts Only cannot use restricted discounts. Users with All Pre-defined Discounts or Pre-defined & Custom Discounts can use them.

Restricted discounts are useful for manager approvals, high-value discounts, comps, or discounts that should not be available to all sales staff.

Product-Specific Discounts

Select Product Specific when the discount should apply only to selected products.

After enabling it:

1. Use the product selector to add products.
2. Review the selected-product list.
3. Remove any products that should not receive the discount.

When Product Specific is enabled, the product selector shows Select a product to add... and excludes products that are already selected. If no products are selected while product-specific mode is on, the list page will show None selected.

Edit or Delete a Discount

Select a discount row to update it. Use the delete icon only when the discount should no longer exist.

If a discount should stop being used but historical sales need to remain easy to understand, consider renaming it clearly before deleting or replacing it with a new discount.
