Adjustments & Edits
WebWorkstationMobileSome completed sales can be reopened from Transaction Details, edited in Salespoint, and saved again. Use this workflow carefully because it changes a sale after it was originally closed.
Permission Required
You need ZynoSales transaction edit permission to reopen completed sales. Some item, payment, discount, and fulfillment changes require additional ZynoSales permissions.
Reopen A Sale
- Open ZynoSales > Transactions.
- Select the transaction.
- Open the more-actions menu.
- Select Re-open sale.
- ZynoSuite opens the sale in ZynoSales > Salespoint.
Salespoint shows the sale number and the original close time at the top of the cart.
Make Changes
While the sale is reopened, use the normal Salespoint controls to make allowed changes:
- Add or remove items.
- Change item quantities.
- Add or remove discounts.
- Attach or change the customer.
- Add or edit notes.
- Add or edit shipping info when fulfillment access allows it.
- View payments or process a refund if the sale now owes money back.
If another user has the tab open, ZynoSuite may warn that the tab is locked and ask whether you want to take over.
Finish The Reopened Sale
Use the cart button or cart actions menu:
| Action | Use When |
|---|---|
| Pay | The adjusted sale has a balance due. |
| Complete Sale | The adjusted sale has no balance due. |
| View Payments | The adjusted sale is owed a refund. |
| Save Tab | The sale should remain saved rather than closed. |
| Close Tab | No changes are pending and you want to leave the tab. |
Revert Changes
To discard all changes made after reopening:
- Open the cart actions menu.
- Select Revert Changes.
- Confirm the prompt.
If the reverted sale is closed, Salespoint clears the active tab.
Full Refund Or Cancel
Use Refund sale/order or Cancel sale/order from Transaction Details when the whole transaction should be reversed. That action is separate from reopening and cannot be undone.
Common Issues
| Problem | What To Check |
|---|---|
| Re-open sale is missing | Confirm the transaction is closed and your role can edit transactions. |
| Sale is locked | Another Salespoint may be editing it; take over only when appropriate. |
| Delete Tab is missing | Tabs with payments cannot be deleted from Salespoint. |
| Payment is blocked | Resolve item alerts, required customers, or stale shipping rates. |
| Revert Changes is missing | The sale may not be a reopened closed sale. |
