Order Batches

WebWorkstationMobile

Order batches let fulfillment staff process multiple pending shipments together. Use batches to group orders, purchase shipping labels in one workflow, and download combined label and packing-slip PDFs.

Permission Required

You need ZynoSales fulfillment edit access.

Open Shipment Batches

  1. Open ZynoSales > Fulfillment.
  2. Select Batches.

The Shipment Batches modal lists each batch with its batch number, created date, and order count. Select a batch to open it, or select Create Batch to start a new one.

Create a Batch

  1. Select Create Batch.
  2. Review the eligible pending orders.
  3. Select the orders to include.
  4. Select Create.

Only pending, unbatched orders are shown. Orders must have fulfillment packages and must not be flagged for review.

If no orders are available, the modal shows There are no unbatched orders ready for shipment.

Add Orders to an Existing Batch

  1. Open ZynoSales > Fulfillment > Batches.
  2. Select the batch.
  3. Select +.
  4. Select eligible pending orders.
  5. Select Add.

The same eligibility rules apply: orders must be pending, unbatched, packaged, and unflagged.

Remove Orders from a Batch

  1. Open the batch.
  2. Select -.
  3. Select the pending orders to remove.
  4. Confirm the removal.

The remove action is available only when the batch still contains pending orders.

Purchase Shipping Labels

From the batch detail, select Purchase Shipping Labels.

ZynoSuite purchases labels for packages in the batch that do not already have labels. If any rates are expired, ZynoSuite prompts before it re-rates those shipments during purchase.

If any label purchase fails, ZynoSuite shows Label Purchase Issues with the sale number, package number, and error details.

After labels are purchased, batch actions become available:

ActionResult
Print Shipping LabelsDownloads a combined PDF named like Batch 12 Labels.pdf.
Print Packing SlipsDownloads a combined PDF named like Batch 12 Packing Slips.pdf.

If not every label has been purchased, Print Shipping Labels can still print the purchased labels after you confirm the incomplete batch warning.

Best Practices

  • Resolve flagged orders before adding them to a batch.
  • Keep batches small enough for staff to pick and pack accurately.
  • Purchase labels before printing packing slips for batch processing.
  • Review rate-expired orders before high-volume label purchase.
  • Use sale numbers in label-purchase errors to quickly find problem orders.
